Toeing the line of sample-based electronic music, spaced-out shoegaze, and straight-up, nuts-to-the-wall metal, you will find Bronze Fawn. Two resident Washingtonians and two transplanted Texans convened in a Seattle basement with the common goals of having a drink, talking some trash and the proverbial "blowing of minds" with their music. After realizing that blending bombastic drums with ass-shaking grooves was way more satisfying and less cliché than the blowing of minds, Bronze Fawn set out in that direction and never looked back.

A mountain of precisely timed effect pedals controlled by keys and guitars are kept in stride by both acoustic and live electronic drums, carving a path that travels from head-nod-friendly grooves to searing baths of distortion. The band's scope ranges from the technical to the cinematic, the plaintive to the monsterous, displaying a range that is rarely found in many of today's post-post-rock (?) instrumental outfits.

The addition of 5th member, Dan Wilk, who creates live visuals via manipulated found footage, lights the path by providing a complementary distraction.
