Jim Acquavella - Drums (1998-2003)

Guitar, bass, drums. Three simple elements brought to life by Seattle's The Building Press. Formed in 1998, the trio has over 130 performances to their name and counting. Fueled by PBR, and a passion to rock, their no-bullshit delivery and unapologetic attitue, coupled with strong songwriting craftmanship and a relentless work ethic are rare assets that set them apart.

As for the music, often enough it begins quiet and sparse, soft harmonics and static radio frequencies buzzing from somewhere. BOOM! They light up like a firecracker, kindling a fiery, intense rock and roll furnace conjuring up sonic embodiments of good and evil, victory and defeat, drunkenness and sobriety.

Dynamic compositions encompass dark moods, distant ambience, temper tantrums, unearthly noise, swirling textures, technical proficiency, and most importantly, a certain rawness and free spiritedness not commonly associated with their style. Known to share bills with the likes of The Oxes, The Letter E, Bellini, and 31 Knots.

Aaron has been living in Brooklyn and playing music with his fiance in Black Horse. He is currently recruiting new members for The Building Press.

Eric is playing drums in Patrol, with members of Roadside Monument.

Jim is now playing drums in Bronze Fawn (along with Bryce from Vermilion and Joules ...and oh yeah, Eric was in Vermillion too...)
